My High End Toothbrush

About a month ago, I forked over $100 for a Sonicare Intelliclean 8500 toothbrush. This thing has changed my life. This device is right up there with the iPod, peanut butter and Tivo (well, I don't have Tivo, but I imagine if I did, I'd have another epiphany) as best inventions ever. This brush is really the iPod of toothbrushes. I bought the top of the line model because I was so enraptured with it. I think it brushes something like 33,000 brush strokes per second and my mouth feels CLEAN. It has a cool charger and the brush just sits on it (no plugging in any cords) like a dental totem. It also has a timer that beeps every 30 seconds so you fully brush every quadrant of your mouth. Wow.

If you haven't joined the Sonicare club, join now. Regular brushing is for the Amish.

I was thinking about buying one... should I get a lower end model?

I have one...here is my problem...why does EVERYTHING I buy these days need to have a charger and be plugged into the wall...I'm running out of outlets and you should see my suitcase when I have to pack for a trip (I have to carry more chargers than undewear).

Still, it is a good brushing experience.

You know, everytime I go to BB&B, I always check the Sonicare toothbrushes. I always tell myself I'd get it next time, and that's been 1 year now :) LOL I just might get it this time ;)

i bought a crappy electric toothbrush from walgreens or some such place. you know the battery powered ones that you just buy new heads for periodically and only costs about $25 or so? i think maybe it's made by colgate but i don't remember. well the damn thing has fallen to pieces and i've barely used it. the head won't stay on the body. so i do NOT recommend that. spend the extra moolah and get one that will last. i like that terence's beeps at you. not that i'd have that much patience to wait for it to beep before moving on.
