Happy Halloween to everyone. But the more important holiday is Happy Daylight Savings Time! We all know how I feel about that holiday.

I love the DST. Makes my days feel shorter and my nights longer.

Could be the vampire in me.

Oh well! Next year They made it shorter. Damn Bush.

Happy DST to you too. OH, and I hate Halloween. Actually, no. I love the day after Halloween. 50% off all the candy.

i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE daylight savings time. there's nothing worse than it being dark by the time you get home from work. i HATE short days. and on my current schedule, it's actually dark before i even leave work!!! so i sit here looking out the window and feeling like i should be tucked safely into bed by now. and DST means winter is here. and i hate winter. winter means aching bones and depression. and what good is gaining an extra hour of sleep on your day off anyway? if it was on a night before work, then i might be happy. but alas, such is not the case. bah humbug.

From Jayne: Not to be off-topic or anything, but STAB is still undefeated, playing its final regular -season game tomorrow night against Blue Ridge. I have no idea how the teams match up. Also, the STAB website has an aerial picture of the field - that S is pretty amazing. One wonders why it is S and not STAB ...

From Jayne: Oh, yes, on topic: I really like the extra hour of sleep. Is there a way we can get it every week? Every day? I also like Halloween.

I agree with one of your readers....it's dark so early, and the days seem gloomy until at least April. One hour extra sleep the first night is hardly worth it.

As for Halloween, did you throw piss balloons at cop cars? I did that once when I was 12 and got in so much trouble....not so much by the cops who took me home me home and told my parents, but by my dad.
